Pat Fischer the Artist

Pat Fischer

Pat began painting at an early age, encouraged by an extremely creative and self-sufficient mother. There was no money for art lessons but Pat’s mother secured materials for her. She helped Pat realize that God had provided her with a gift to express herself through art.

Pat’s work reflects her pride and love for her country. Her style brings a visually peaceful retreat to a kinder, gentler time and promotes a pleasing image to those who own her prints. Pat has been concentrating on Americana work since the early 1990’s and acknowledges Rufus Porter as her inspiration for portraying saltbox houses, churches and willow trees. Porter’s influence began while Pat was living in New Hampshire and doing an independent study of his art. She, like Porter, is self-taught and has had her heart touched by the beauty and peace of New England country scenes.

Pat’s work has been licensed on a variety of products including:
wallpaper borders, kitchen accessories, rugs, garden flags and stencils to name a few. She and her husband, Joe, love to travel around this wonderful country to meet other artists, and buyers of her own beloved art.

Donations in Pat's memory can be made to her beloved charity
